False Guilt

Did you know that there is such a thing as "false guilt"?  


Our conscience , like all other parts of our humanity, was affected the by the Fall ( into sin). Therefore, while in most cases still extremely useful,   it is not not perfect or infallible. 


On one side there can be a searing of the conscience ( all the way to the extent of psychopathy) but there can also be an over stimulation of the conscience - neither is good. 


Our human conscience is not one and the same thing as the conviction of the Holy Spirit, which is indeed perfect.


The key to discerning the two lies in reading your Bible in a logical fashion. 


Also getting the advice of a few godly, wise and trusted people in your life is extremely helpful.
